An Oddity 00006

People on the management team are in a constant state of controlled panic. The inspector has failed the Store twice now, so naturally they're triple checking everything in operations to make sure it meets the proper coding. So then if they managed to pass these inspections in the past, how did they managed to miss over and over for the last five years the subtle infraction on my I-9* form? Apparently there was an abbreviation in my address when I was hired. The hiring manager at that time (three managers ago) used some kind of abbreviation that she wasn't supposed to and it wasn't caught until just this week. Let me restate that because of how ridiculous it is. An error made FIVE YEARS AGO now has the assistant manager foaming at the mouth with fear of losing her job should the inspector see it and ding the Store on a point for a legal document authenticity error. It's nice to see that these matters take such a high presence on the list of priorities, meanwhile customers are robbing us blind in the aisles.

*The Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9 is a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services form. It is used by an employer to verify an employee's identity and to establish that the worker is eligible to accept employment in the United States.
